Due to the weather predictions, the 2026 Kevin Fedora Open will be played at the Picklr in Westfield plaza.

We will be pressed for space, so we need to make minor adjustments to the schedule, and we may have a few unexpected delays.  Please be patient with the volunteer team running the event.

FORMAT

Round-robin matches will be rally scoring, one game to 15 (win by 1). You do not have to be serving to win. Serving players will switch sides of the court as they earn points. If your score is even, the player on the right side will be serving. If your score is odd, the player on the left side will be serving. Switch ends of the court when the first team reaches 8. Before the game starts, flip a coin or do the “odd or even” thing to determine which team gets to choose either serve or side.

You will play all teams in your pool. The top 4 teams from the round robin will move into the playoff round. The first match in the playoff will be another rally scoring game to 15 (win by 1). The finals will be best of 3 games to 11 (win by 2) using normal doubles scoring.

The volunteer tournament directors will not make line calls. Please play fairly and make your own “out” calls following USA Pickleball Rules.

Summer Ladder Shootout events at Westfield Pickleball are a fun, organized way for players of similar skill levels to meet new players and compete on a level playing field.

Sessions run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 PM on 8 courts (max 40 players). Sign-ups open one week in advance, and all players must use the Pickleball Den app to register, enter scores after each round-robin, and view their ladder position.

The ladder shootout format groups players into pools of 4–5 players by current skill step. You play round-robin games within your pool (games to 11 for pools of 5, and 15 for pools of 4), then top finishers move up one step on the ladder, middle players stay, and lower finishers move down — keeping matches competitive and fair. Cost is $2 cash per session. These events are flexible, beginner-friendly, and a great way to improve while playing well-matched games.

You do not have to play every session. Your ranking will carry forward, and each session is seeded to balance the play immediately before play starts – based on the pool of players for that evening.
