Board of Directors

Westfield Pickleball, Inc. is currently managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

The annual meeting held on October 2, 2023 at 6:00 PM at East Mountain Country Club, Westfield, MA 01085. No elections were needed for the four vacant positions.  

Two year term expiring October 4, 2024 : Clerk; Lynn Barszcz, President: Dena Polverari, Board Memeber; Jen Polverari, Treasurer; Chris Dorr, Board Member; Betsy Graham, Board Member; Michael Paridis, Board Member; Denise Roy. 

Two year term expiring October 4, 2024: Jen Polverari, Mike Paradis, Denise Roy.

The first election was held on  October 4, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Shaker Farms Country Club, 866 Shaker Road, Westfield, MA 01085.

At this meeting, members of Westfield Pickleball voted for eleven (11) members to serve on the Board of Directors.   

Anyone interested in submitting their name for a board seat in the future, must be a member and also must submit their interest by completing the form available on the website which must be submitted no later than September 15, before the next elections by 5:00 p.m.

The Board responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  1. Attendance at monthly meetings and Annual Meeting;
  2. Record keeping for Membership;
  3. Conduit to USA Pickleball for membership status;
  4. Decisions for open play;
  5. Decisions for league play;
  6. Decisions for tournaments;
  7. Overseeing league;
  8. Merchandise for sale;
  9. Presentation at Park and Rec meetings for approval for use of courts, i.e., open play, league, tournament and any other issues requiring approval by Park and Rec for benefit of Westfield Pickleball, Inc.;
  10. Annual filings with Commonwealth of Massachusetts and IRS;
  11. Annual submission to USA Pickleball for insurance;
  12. Promoting Pickleball for all; and
  13. Promoting the growth of the sport of Pickleball.
